About Us
Family-centered occupational therapy services are provided and specifically tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
Through the course of the occupational therapy intervention, a child often develops a motivation to succeed through various just-right challenges that is fostered through a trusting relationship between the therapist and the child.
Occupational therapy is provided within the context of play, with the ultimate goal to promote functional participation in the child’s occupations of daily living. Working with the family as well as coordinating with other service providers is key to making positive change while best serving the child.
Developing goals as a team and emphasizing caregiver education is a key component of family centered care, while also prioritizing the family’s concerns.
